DETAIL SPECIFICATION
RUBBER, FLUOROSILICONE ELASTOMER, OIL AND FUELRESISTANT,
SHEETS, STRIPS, MOLDED PARTS, AND EXTRUDED SHAPES
Reactivated after 11 August 2006 and may be used
for new and existing designs and acquisitions.
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of
Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope
This specification covers oil- and fuel-resistant fluorosilicone elastomer rubber sheets, strips,
molded parts, and extruded shapes for aeronautical and aerospace applications.
1.2 Classification
The fluorosilicone elastomer rubber should be of the following types, classes, and grades, as
specified (see 6.2).
