4.3.3 End item dimensional examination. The end items shall be examined for
conformance to the dimensions specified in figures 1 through 5, as
applicable. Any dimension not within the specified tolerance shall be
classified as a defect. The lot size shall be expressed in units of gaskets,
of the same type. The sample unit shall be one gasket, of one type. The
inspection level shall be S-3 in accordance with ASQ Z1.4 (see 6.4).
4.3.4 End item testing. The end items shall be tested for the
characteristics listed in table IV. The lot size shall be expressed in units
of gaskets, of the same type. The sample unit- shall be 5 gaskets, of the
same type. All test requirements shall be applicable to the sample unit. All
test reports shall contain the individual values used to express the final
result. The lot shall be unacceptable if one or more sample units fail to
meet any test requirement specified. The sample size shall be as follows:
